It has always been a part of a freely available hack made by another user. It's not the same person releasing the updated hack so he's not forced to post it for free or ViP. It's his own decision and he wanted to give something more to the people who contributed to the site.

I have never tried it on a Linux Machine. lldb, just like gdb, both are on your device. When you run them, you run them from your device. They're located in: /usr/bin/debugserver /usr/bin/gdb

If it only gives you the option to load ARMv7, it's already thinned.

Try loading the binary in IDA and see if it gives you the option to load ARMv7 and ARM64.
