Yes, but as you can see, there's a space in the file name. So the thinned binary needs to have a space also in order to apply it on the app. You should remove spaces when thinning though or insert the app name in quotation marks when running the command. "Clash of Clans".

I think I can re-package it back into a .deb but not sure if it'll work. Buying it would be better in my opinion.

That's because you need to wait. When you click on "Download", it starts downloading but Safari and iFile don't display a progress bar. You just have to wait seconds up to minutes until you get the iFile screen because the file size is the same as the file you uploaded.

Is the binary thinned? What if you try to dump headers from the link above?

You can still downgrade and use the older version of AppCake. Or you can download the IPA from the website version of AppCake.
