Gamevil hates Jailbroken users which is why the tweak I mentioned was created. They could have bypassed that maybe? If it doesn't work on both Jailbroken iDevices then it's probably their doing?

iFunBox will say 'Jailed' even if you are Jailbroken. Apple File Conduit 2 is what makes these File Managers detect your iDevice as Jailbroken and it doesn't come installed by default with every Jailbreak so there's a possibility he's Jailbroken but his Cydia is missing. -- Maybe a re-jailbreak will help.
