Once you pay to upgrade, you have to wait for the upgrade to deliver. The hack makes the upgrade deliver instantly.

Did you test properly? I upgraded it to max and I still had cash. Might be visual lol

Don't upgrade too fast and don't upgrade past your level. Meaning, if you're level one, and your grenade is max level is like asking the developers to ban you. Upgrade slowly.
