Have you tried deleting the files already in the Documents/Library folder and then copying the hack ones? Also, once you apply the hack, open the game with no internet connection. Note: Always make a backup of your current files before modifying anything.

The new iOS versions don't support the old phones very good. I've experienced lots of lags on my 4s and couldn't really do anything with it ever since iOS 7. I guess it's a way for Apple to force you into upgrading to a new iPhone. If you're looking for speed, you can try apps while in Safe Mode and see if that helps.
