This issue is caused due to your 512MB RAM. It's not enough to keep multiple things running at once so it has to sacrifice something to keep another thing. I get this too sometimes and I'm on 1GB of RAM. My suggestion would be to try it in Safe Mode. WatchDog Pro might also help.
