It does though. The Spotify website takes the email and password without a problem.

Once you click the download link, give it a few seconds/minutes for the page to refresh and give you the downloaded file with an option to "Open in iFile...". Then the downloaded file will appear in /User/Documents/.

The way you've packaged the deb won't apply the hack in the right location.
