No, you do not necessarily need it. For theos you can simply run it on Windows Subsystem Linux or directly on your device. Patching IPAs and modifying them also does not require macOS. Even sideloading is now available on Windows thanks to tools like Sideloadly.

Uninstall iGameGod, then install odcctools on its own and see if that helps.

On palera1n rootless, I have installed odcctools from procursus repo. On Dopamine it may be the same or a different repo.
