I've found you can use instant skill every turn if you leave auto on. In the first turn you can use instant skill as long as you're autoing. Even if it shows 0% for your skill, it can still be used but if auto is off, you need an extra turn to boost it to 100%. Not sure why.

The mage skill can be used by anyone but if you're not naturally a mage, the skill time is increased to 10 seconds from when you first use it. For a mage at level 10, it's a 3 second skill.

Even the God Mode is a massive help. Instant Skill is very helpful but I'm still trying to wrap my head around how it works. Sometimes it works after an attack, sometimes combining an ally skill will cause it to work. Either way, thanks

Just to let everyone know, using god mode in the arena makes your opponents invincible too, they don't take damage either.

I don't know how you play but I'm assuming you were obvious when you did PvP? Try not to be obvious. Don't use a lot of cards at once unless you've waited an amount of time that could be plausible for using them. If you go up against much higher levels, try to keep it to a close victory. Even if you lose, you usually go right back up the next game. Inconspicuous that way.
