The jailbreak community: Piracy, Free tweaks, yay right? No! This is destroying the jailbreak community from the inside out. We are a community that solely rely on hackers and developers- with that said, Dedicated developers put many hours into making their products and in turn some may charge you a small fee of $1 or something around that area. With this comes the infamous Julio Verne (Assuming that's how it's spelt. He is an expert in piracy.) who will crack this tweak and release the package for free. This developer, who most likely needed the purchase fee to continue developing further projects has just been screwed over and the Dev views this as the JB community giving him a big middle finger. This may be 'Cool' or 'Beneficial' for the community temporarily but think about the reason you wanted the tweak, It did something that you just had to have, right?! Well guess what: You've just discouraged that developer from releasing any further updates or investing any more time/money into that tweak which you needed so badly that you decided to pirate. For every action there's a reaction. With that said think about the reaction that pirating tweaks has. IT'S SINGLE HANDEDLY KILLING OUR OWN COMMUNITY! Without developers theres no tweaks and without the tweaks why Jailbreak? I'm not telling you to give your hard earned cash to a money hungry Dev. I'm simply telling you that if you enjoy a tweak so much that you have to pirate it, maybe consider giving the developer some support so that they can continue the projects they are working on and furthering the tweaks that you love. Hypocrisy is a big thing with this article. I've just recently realized how much harm this had done and is going to keep causing the community. Just hear me out guys: Developers don't need to be making tweaks for the community. I'm sure they could get a job making much more money coding for a big company such as Google, Microsoft, etc. the point is that they do this because they have a passion for developing jailbreak tweaks. They already sacrifice a large paycheck for un-guaranteed finances that may come in if their work is successful, and even then with piracy being a HUGE problem in this community- it's still a gamble. Don't let the community perish by installing cracked packages and in the least don't support 'cracked' tweaks. Hopefully you guys understand where I'm coming from and I don't get a ton of backlash for posting this...
