Theos doesn't cause this. It's something else. Boot into Safe Mode first and try.

He's not on iOS 8.3 maybe? You can change the time on all new iOS versions.

Try another app, try on Mobile Data and try Resetting Network Settings. If all fails, Semi-Restore.com.
