If it's been dead for months it probably needs a good charge and maybe some cleaning up the hardware? Removing moist?

Was it Jailbroken or something? Does it have charge and how long has it been turned off for? Pop that back off your iPhone and experiment with it if you don't need it.

I'm guessing it's a save game? If yes, remove all the files inside the Documents folder & Library folder. This will reset your game's progress.
