Pure IDA gets your and the place your post it in trouble. Converting from IDA to CSCI is really easy when you have a template for it! All you do is change offsets.

You use iGG & gdb to find the offset in IDA to hack. You can use this old video for an example: Code Injection most of the times need to be updated since the offsets change but sometimes it's not necessary.
