Without the app being updated itself, not much you can do.

A way you can fix this is by uninstalling Cydia Substrate and then reinstalling it along with the hack.

Right under the xxx_FILES, see the example Makefile inside the template.

I suggest you use the template from iOSGods located in Tools section.
