ARC is needed for SCLAlertView. That's probably why you're getting the errors. Remove the # from the line in Rick's post. Also, make sure you have imcluded SCLAlertView inside your .xm. #import <SCLAlertView/SCLAlertView.h> And you probably need a substrate.h that's ARC compatible.
