Whether it is through speakers or headphones, sound is an integral part of the smartphone experience. Indeed, cat videos aren’t quite as fun otherwise, but it’s also clear some smartphones are better at sound than others. Several factors like the speaker quality and positioning, as well as the DAC for finer headphone experiences, make huge differences. We’ve seen all sorts of configurations in recent years, with exceptional audio (like HTC’s) standing out in the ears of audiophiles.

How much does audio matter to your smartphone experience? What kind of speakers do you prefer? What about the headphone experience?

I don't really mind the smartphone's audio quality itself, usually I just listen to music with headphones or with a Bluetooth hometeather when I'm home, but what would be cool to see would be better headphones bundled with the phones when you buy then, usually they are not really comfortable. :)
