If you don't have any other Age of Magic hacks installed, it should be working fine. The game works fine without the hack right? Does it crash for every challenge?

I added the old hack as 3rd option. I am not sure why it won't work. Also after playing the game till level 22, I found that arena was played against bots/AI? It just makes your hero high level which adds some stat bonus. I think it's useful for low levels.

Hi, for those the hack is not working, please update your game to latest version or completely reinstall the cheat. I have tested in 2 devices (iOS 9 and iOS 11), and it worked fine for me. Is that online mode?
