I know you have this solved. But here's a quick tip. R7 is usually the simplest and best thing to change it to for most people because R7 holds the value of approximately 803 million. But it is also a static register, so usually R7 is unlimited anyway. If you think R7 is too small you can try PC, but I don't know much about that. Btw what game u trying to hack.

Does IDA support windows xp? I usually use win 10, but im wondering if it also works on win xp.

Most apple users know, that after a while your charger wears out, and the cord starts to like come off, basically it starts to rip off until you can see the cord, which after a while will break your charger. I'll be telling you a way to extend its life for a while longer. 1. First, go to the store and buy electrical tape. Very cheap. 2. Wrap the electrical tape tightly around the beginning of the cord where it always starts to tear. 3. Enjoy having your charger last for a bit longer. My charger is like destroyed, the wire is showing but luckily right before it got bad, I put electrical tape and its still working lmao, I might provide a photo. +rep

lol you're right Yes so basically at my moms the internet doesnt work anymore and thats where my setup is, my only other alternative is laptop at library or my dads. But the usb ports do not work properly on the laptop becsuse I dont use it and its old, so basically I want to upload the binary to my laptop, use ida to hack it with strings or float you know, then test it and then eventually compile it after doing code injection. But I was wondering, since I'm not debugging, can I just use WINSCP to do all the transfering since my laptop cant usb.

Hey guys. Right now my computer internet is messed up and stuff so if I were to hack using ida I'd need to use my laptop. But the usb ports re broken. So instead of using ifunbox or whatever to transfer the binary back and forth. Could I use like WinSCP or something instead?

Couldnt have said it better myself. I learnt MS so easily too, IDA with subx games etc.. Is a huge step compared to MS.
