If you had previously jailbroken your iPhone you might not be able to play it since Nintendo/DeNa has something in the program that detects for jailbreak files within your phone even if your phone isn't currently jailbroken. So as of right now even users who have previously jailbroken cannot play. BUT If you have restored your phone (to remove the jailbreak) and then updated your phone the game should run fine. If you updated your phone to the latest firmware, then you should be expecting the crashing issue.
(You will get to this loading screen and then the app will crash.)
As of right now, NO progression for former jailbroken users.
If Jailbroken:
the game runs with TsProtector8+
(What tsProtector does is that it tricks apps into thinking that your device isn't jailbroken, and by adding it to your blacklist, it should prevent
Super Mario Run from suffering any jailbreak-related crashes.)
(Tested on iPhone 6s 9.3.3)
How to get TsProtector (Jailbroken)
1) Launch Cydia from your Home screen.
2) Search for “tsprotector” in the Search field
3) Tap on the tsProtector 8+ (iOS 9 & 8) option
4) Tap on the blue Install button at the top right of the tweak and follow the prompts in Cydia until the installation is complete.
After Installed Tweak
