That's an older version from the one on BigBoss. It could also probably be the reason you're getting that error ""Sorry, cannot preserve Library" and cannot preserve documents with Slices "

I do not think so. I think Slices might be more of use than Social Duplicator for you though but I've never tested.

There was a way to bypass it on iOS 7 but not sure if it's still applicable on iOS 8. You can't fully get past the setup screen without activating your iPhone with a sim card.

You'll need to insert the requested SIM card to be able to do that.
