Do you still have the Applications symlink in /var/mobile/? If yes, delete it. Do your System Apps show?

AppSync was the problem? Why did only Gameloft games crash with AppSync? Doesn't make sense. Oh & AppSync works even when you're on Safe Mode also but you said that the Gameloft Apps open up when you're on Safe Mode. ---- I think that AppSync might have conflicted with another tweak like PPSync maybe? Glad you fixed it though!

Just be EXTREMELY CAREFUL otherwise you're going to have to update to iOS 8.1.1 and be stuck with No Jailbreak.

Uninstall Cydia Substrate and most should uninstall with it. There's also iLEX R.A.T or Semi-Restore but I don't know if they support iOS 8.
