Restoring from backup on a fresh restore does bring back some old tweak settings from what I noticed. I suggest you start completely fresh, no restoring from backup.

Look in the keychains-2.db file using iFile and see if you find a table for the game. Then delete the table using this tutorial: http://iosgods.com/topic/5595-tutorial-how-to-get-unbanned-from-gameloft-games-on-your-idevice/ Backup first. And also, I think the connection error might mean you've been banned?
