Yes, you can change the filenames in /Library/MobileSubstrate/DynamicLibraries/ and the hacks might have the same preference folder names in /Library/PreferenceBundles/. I haven't tested changing the bundle names. Might cause the app to disappear from settings.

Right? Display Recorder had a nice feature which you could visit the URL on your browser and control your phone. Something which can help: Reflector, X-Mirage, new OSX Yosemite has a built-in QuickTime feature to show iDevice's screen, and others.

You can only change your Display Name. As it says in your Display Name settings, your log in name remains the same.
