What is Java?

Java is a programming language expressly designed for use in the distributed environment of the Internet. It was designed to have the "look and feel" of the C++ language, but it is simpler to use than C++ and enforces an object-oriented programming model.

src folder is full of java files and the bin folder is java's class (compiled)

Don't know the programs? (Bold is what I am using)

NetBeans NetBeans 7.4 or higher supports Java 8 with lambda. (My Professor said that this is best one than rest)
Eclipse The Eclipse version from this Website supports Java 8 with lambda. (Sometimes I use it)

Java allows you to play online games, chat with people around the world, calculate your mortgage interest, and view images in 3D, just to name a few. It's also integral to the intranet applications and other e-business solutions that are the foundation of corporate computing.
