Suggestions

Switch "Content Feed" with "Recent Topics" on the sidebar, it's better to see new topics first rather than new replies.. usually to old posts.
Add Clickable titles for sidebar. e.g "Recent Topics" will take you to a full sized page of recent topics, same applies with the rest for their things (some already have full pages for them).

1. No, that wouldn't look good as it's not always updated and would appear as if nothing is happening.

If you are talking about the 2nd one (clickable titles) I think so because it will allow you to view for example for 'recent topics' a full page of recent topics allowing you to view all new topics more than what it shows like only the last 10, so you don't have to look through all topics to find new stuff that may interest you.

Okay I think this is actually a necessary change.

Please make the google ads have a bit of space between the text, I usually have to add an extra space to make it look good and not distracting from the text (if I make the post).

lol no because I thought at the time it would be better to see new topics rather then replies to useless old topics but after using it a bit more you do find interesting topics that way.
