As a college student, Apple for Education is offering students $200 off the price of a MacBook and a free pair of beats solo2 wireless headphones. But the speculation about the new hardware release in October 2016 is promising. Should I purchase a current tech MacBook Pro now, get free beats, and have my computer at the beginning of school? Or should I wait for the brand-new hardware, which could be pivotal to unmatched performance, but skip out on beats headphones and be forced to use the computers my college provides?

Here's what I think:

There's a lot of hate against Apple PCs, and there's a good reason behind it. High prices for easily matched performance. That causes machines that operate Windows, to usually* beat Macs.

The Macs are decent, though, and you can run games like GTA V, Skyrim, etc. Quite easily on them. They are also slim, weigh almost nothing, and you can get one for $200 less.

You also get free Beats solo 2, which is a gigantic plus. Both of these products are really expensive, and all in all, I think it's worth it.

*There are really bad Windows PCs, of course
