I earlier posted an introduction as I have just recently joined these forums. I wanted to JB my iPhone 5s for quite some time but haven't put any effort in to doing so. Tonight I finally decided to start the research and the JB process. I however did not gain any solid ground, although I am new to the whole community, I have common knowledge and am very inclined with computers. I went for hours researching, testing, restoring, updating, and pulling hair.
I had unfortunately updated to iOS 8.3 and quickly learned that there is no (real) JB out for this firmware yet, I tried many ways to try and activate unsigned firmware (8.1.2) and (of course) with no success started doing research on a possible break for 8.2. I found the Taig break for 8.2 beta, and after more research some people were claiming to have successfully used this to JB the final 8.2 firmware. I tried multiple times and different methods to get this to work and failed with an error code of 1004. On the FAQ for Taig the error code 1004 is associated to a problem with the computer in use and to try a different computer, although my computer is fairly advanced I know that is not the case.
I did of course back up my phone before doing anything, and am in the process of restoring that backup now.
My questions are:
Is it possible to fully JB 8.2 Untethered? Or since I've updated to 8.3 am I stuck until the next jailbreak? (If there is a next time?) Like I said I'm pretty new to this stuff so I'd like as much information as possible about jailbreaking.
I also saw a Semi-Jailbreak for 8.3, are there any benefits for doing this now in the process of waiting until the next jailbreak?
Thanks
