My school computer lab uses 3 separate AV systems, yet it has more viruses than anywhere else i know. They use Norton, Kaspersky and McAffee. I use malwarebytes and its good but I still have problems sometimes. I ALWAYS have to reformat my pen drive when I use it in school computers. Nowadays i just d/l from my email

Did you know that despite these AVs viruses can still get in? AV is made by the same people who distribute those viruses. They leave out certain viruses and then make a show of updating lists

Yes, all OS have viruses. The only difference is Windows viruses are very common, while macos viruses are a handful. Ive used mac for last 9 years. Found a lot of win viruses over the years but 0 mac viruses. Thats cuz windows is easy to get. everyone and their grandmother has or uses a windows. Whereas 1 in 100 people use a mac. The maker would rather infect the 99 than that 1 user. And therefore, we get windows more virus prone than mac.

a) It sees your unique device identifier and logs it on its database OR It stores files which let it detect them. That I dont know how becuase there are many places it can store data and it depends on the app itself
