  6. Extracting these files from an ipsw will allow u to manually specify the SEP and Baseband in FutureRestore. Click the Start menu. ... Type "folder options" (without the quotes). ... A dialog box with the title "Folder Options" will appear. ... Click to uncheck the box for "Hide extensionsfor known file types". Click the "OK" button at the bottom of the dialog box. once that is done right click the ipsw file and at the end of the file name it will say .ipsw just change it to .zip and now you will be able to get the files needed from the ipsw
  7. So I’m trying to use FutureRestore to upgrade to 11.3.1 but many people on reddit are saying u have to extract the sep and baseband and install/verify them manually which Ik how to do but no clue on extracting them from an ipsw
  8. Step 0.5: You must be jailbroken (or, at least have a series of exploits capable of achieving TFP0 such as v0rtexnonce on iOS 10.3.3, blueyalu on 10.2 etc). Once you do this, back up your current iOS install fully! This guide will ERASE your current install completely. Step 1: Download futurerestore from this link. This is the newest version as far as I know, but it's the ONLY one that ever worked for me. Once downloaded, extract the folder completely to a simple location on your computer. On OSX I chose '/Users/TomLube' and an Windows I chose '/Users/samus' for simplicity sake. This is because we will be using terminal commands to these directories later. Step 2: Find your blobs. Usually this is on TSSsaver by Conan. Use iOS 11.3.1 blobs since they are compatible with iOS 11.4. Rename this to something like 'blobs.shsh2' and place it in the same folder as the futurerestore_v173 Step 3: Set your nonce - there is a bunch of ways to do this and I can't cover them all here, but there is resources on how to do this. This involves opening the shsh2 file (in textedit or even Filza) and finding the 'generator key' string. There is a guide at the end of this tutorial. Step 4: Download the 11.3.1 IPSW you need and rename it to something simple as well, such as 'ipsw.ipsw' which is what I chose. If you follow this, you'll be able to paste the command into Terminal/Command Prompt when we are done here. Download from here, be sure to pick the correct device! This is where, if you are jailbroken, you can wait until the possible 11.3.1 jailbreak happens. Step 5: Almost there! Open Command Prompt or Terminal, and use one command called 'change directory' to select the folder with futurerestore stuff in it. On my machine, this full command is cd /Users/Kyle H\ 1/Downloads/futurerestore_macos_v173 The beginning of the command prompt will now change from something like Kyle-H-MacBook:~ to something like this Kyle-H-MacBook:futurerestore_macos_v173 Step 6: We are now ready! If you followed this guide to a tee, all we have to do is plug in your device and paste the following command (after you properly 'CD' your own directory, so for example /Users/bobross), the command is ./futurerestore -t blobs.shsh2 ipsw.ipsw --latest-baseband --latest-sep If, and ONLY if you are using an iPad (so a device without a cellular baseband ONLY!) then the command is ./futurerestore -t blobs.shsh2 ipsw.ipsw --no-baseband --latest-sep On Windows, these commands do not need the period at the beginning, so if you are having issues that might be why. For full explanation this command, the 'blobs.shsh2' is your own blobs, and the 'ipsw.ipsw' is your own ipsw, which will restore everything (not update) to the version of IPSW you pick. SETTING NONCE: iOS 11: Head into cydia, add https://apt.xninja.xyz and download "System Info." Go into system settings, and paste in your nonce generator that you can obtain from your 'blobs.shsh2' in the 'Generator key' string. Go into system settings, go to General and About, then swipe on 'boot nonce' and paste it. It will tell you if it did it successfully or not (it always has for me) iOS 10: vortexn0nce should work for everyone here, and it still achieves TFP0 on every version of iOS 10 as far as I know. Obtain your generator key and plug it into the app after side loading. iOS 9: Check if you have a tfp0 compatible jailbreak - qwertyuiop browser jailbreak is tfp0 compatible. Add http://repo.ipodhacks142.com and install "nonceEnabler Patch" - may freeze, just force close Cydia. Add https://apt.xninja.xyz and install "System Info." Settings > General > About, swipe left on 'boot nonce' and type in the key from your shsh2
