You should consider allowing gifs as profile pictures.

JAILBREAK IS AWESOME! DO IT.... Pros: Access more files. Cydia Customization options are huge. You are able to download Jailbreak needed hacks from this website. Cons: A little slow if you download some Cydia tweaks

Have you tried changing your iDevice time. If that doesn't work the app has a server based time ( could anyone approve this )?
