Yes but I suggest you don't keep the DNS server on all the time. Only when you need it.

Use the 7.1 SDK and make sure everything is in place.

For Windows 8.1 you need to search internet options from start and add the info there. But I'd rather suggest a VPN like CyberGhost for Windows.

When you open the command prompt, type in these commands one after the other: bootrec /fixmbr bootrec /fixboot bootrec /RebuildBcd

I've been using that on my TV to watch Netflix and Hulu. Working fine here.

You've probably overwrote your Windows Bootloader. Insert your installation DVD/USB and see if you can get into CMD via the recivery options on the CD.
