iLEX RAT helps you remove all cydia tweaks and dependecies if you messed up your iDevice with tons of Cydia Apps. iLEX RAT will bring your iDevice to it´s original state, without harming your Jailbroken.

 

My iDevice is not jailbroken. Can i still use iLEX Rat?

 

No you can't. What would be the point of using it on a non-jailbroken iDevice? It's not jailbroken so you can´t have Cydia Apps on it.

 

How do i run it?

 

iLEX RAT runs on mobile terminal. You can run it from your iDevice or via PC.

If you want to run it on your iDevice you need to get Mobile Terminal (run the mobile terminal once you installed it and enter "Rat" to start process.

If you want to run via Pc then you will need iFunbox (SSH terminal included). Then connect your iDevice to Pc, confirm if your iDevice has been identified correctly and type "Rat" at the command prompt.

If you're on iOS 8, I strongly recommend to stay away with iLEX RAT and use Semi-Restore instead. iLEX RAT doesn't fully support iOS 8 causing more problems than solutions.

If you use iLEX RAT on iOS8, it'll cause a serious boot loop, iLEX RAT is only for iOS7!

Use Semi-Restore by coolstar instead!

 

Also, a tool just release about a week ago, it's called Better Semi-Restore!
