Here I will explain exactly how to backup, change/edit & restore your game save for both vanilla and modified versions of LDoE.

Modded LDoE

Modified IPA Prerequisites:

  • iExplorer
  • Modified IPA

 

  1. Open iExplorer
  2. Plug in iOS device
  3. Click 'Apps'
  4. Double-Click 'Last Day on Earth: Survival" (Should have a ► on the left)
  5. Here is where you do your file manipulations
  • Backup - Select both the Documents & Library folders, right click and 'Export to folder'
  • Replace/Modify - Select both the Documents & Library folder FROM THE COMPUTER and drag them into the iExplorer window. Replace existing files.

 

Launch the game & enjoy!

 

 

Vanilla LDoE

Vanilla Prerequisites:

  • iMazing
  • BetterZip (For Mac) / WinRar (For Windows)

 

  1. Open iMazing
  2. Plug in iOS device
  3. Select device
  4. Select 'Manage Apps'
  5. Select 'Device'
  6. Right-Click 'Last Day on Earth: Survival'
  7. Click 'Back Up App Data', wait to complete
  8. Right-Click 'Last Day on Earth: Survival'
  9. Click 'Restore App Data', wait to complete and device to reboot. Unlock when prompted. (Yes you have to immediately restore for this to work)
  10. Locate backup file (.imazingapp file extension) and rename the extension to .zip
  11. Launch BetterZip/WinRar
  12. Double-Click 'Contents' to navigate to the folder that contains the Documents & Library folders.
  13. Right-Click and extract to folder then delete both folders (this completes the backup, restore/edit follows)
  14. Click 'Add Files', locate the Documents & Library folders with the modified save game and double-click them to add
  15. Click 'Save'
  16. Rename the zip file extension back to .imazingapp
  17. Repeat steps 1-6
  18. Click 'Restore App Data', wait to complete and device to reboot. Unlock when prompted.

Launch the game & enjoy!

Make sure the iDevice in question is unlocked when connecting to the computer.

You /may/ need to open iTunes and confirm it is in fact sync'd
