Super Mario Run! - Crashing On Startup {NON-JailBroken Device} (previously jailbroken)

 

Hey all, I have an iPhone 6+ running iOS 10.1.1. I was just on iOS 9.3.3 and updated today because I wanted to catch the signing window before Apple closes it. If you haven't heard: Project 0, a Google project team, has just released an iOS 10.1.1 jailbreak, but it's very bare-bones. I'm just waiting for someone to make a GUI and polish it up.

 

Anyways, I used PKGBackup to back up to my Address Book, then back up to Local Storage. Then I made an encrypted iTunes backup and updated.

 

It seems Super Mario Run! is still crashing for me.

 

Anyone know how I can fix this?

Have an iOS device that was NEVER jailbroken?

Were you previously jailbroken, but now you are not?
Is Super Mario Run! just crashing for no good reason?

{Is your AppStore acting up for no reason?}

{Did you use iTools and press Activate within the program, and now the AppStore isn't working at all?}

Well here is how you fix it:

 

1.) Do another backup in iTunes of your devices current state

--- Can be encrypted or not, doesn't matter, I tested both options

 

2.) DFU restore to your iOS version, or which ever iOS version is currently being signed for your device

--- HURRY iOS 10.1.1 14b100 IS GONNA CLOSE SOON

 

3.) Once you are fully restored back to a 100% stock state: restore from that backup you just made

--- You can either run through the setup screen to get to the restore from backup screen

--- Or you can tell iTunes to immediately restore from back, doesn't matter I tested both methods

 

4.) Now you can enjoy a working AppStore and a non-crashing Super Mario Run!

DFU restore and set up as new..

The problem is due to jailbreak leftovers in the iTunes backup.
