It's only a System UI crash with a dump ram... RIP on new update. Back to finding a new exploit that breaks the kernel to make a jailbreak. I'm still on 1.76 on my PS4 running Linux... I'll update it when they make a Homebrew so I can make it look cool on 3.11

I updated my ps4 but im regretting it now.

Guess i'll need to wait till there will be a flasher on ps4.

How does that work lol... You can't downgrade sonys servers on your console... PS4 is server run... Unlike PS3 it was firmware run... Firmware can be downgraded... Servers can't unless you get into sony. Once updated... Unfortunately it's RIP.

Seriously man? I'm new to the scene but have done a fair amount of research with PS3 CFW, but that's crazy. The updates are really server run? We're gonna need an E3 Server cracker now lollll <That's obviously impossible and a joke>

On my first ps4 I had issued trying to update the console which was down to a updat.pup file issue on my console.

 

I had to phone sony and ask them what to do... they asked me for my console code and force updated my console from their end.

 

That's how I new it was server run and not updated by choice in the firmware. 

 

Sony can't force update a PS3 which is where the issue lies with the Jailbreak and that's why they can't stop it... as long as someone finds a way to spoof the new updates it's impossible for them to patch it.

 

Obviously that brings you to the explanation of why they changed their update ways and also they changed their Debug Settings etc... However... Some of this stuff has already been hit hard and their is now exploits you can download and inject to your PS4 to essentially have a little jailbreak. It allows you to run LINUX on your PS4 and allows you to install ISO files from the internet (no more paying for games). I have a 2nd PS4 on 1.76 firmware (Not updating) and this is simply because the exploits that you need to change the way the PS4 works is only available on 1.76... So the odds are IF they EVER make a jailbreak for the PS4... It will never be like the PS3 but it will still be somewhat good... However... I'm staying on 1.76 because If I update... I can't do all of this fancy stuff with my PS4 because it's patched after that firmware version.

 

eventually they may find a way to spoof updated... But it will be almost impossible to find a way to downgrade the firmware on a PS4... Only way to get a PS4 on 1.76 atm is buy an old batch of the console from like game or something... then it will be on firmware 1.76... My feelings tell me that once all this finishes and CTurt finally finishes his achievement of jailbreaking a PS4... all consoles on 1.76 will be worth a god dam fortune just because modders a like will want these consoles.

They can never Jailbreak the PS4.

 

The PS3 was always made on a Developers firmware which before going to shelves by Sony was then restricted which is how the JB came along in the first place (CFW) by people being able to unlock and gain full access of their PS3 using an E3 Flasher.

 

The PS4 was never made with a developers firmware... and Sony never most likely will. 

 

Because their is and never most likely be a Developers Firmware for the PS4 it makes it almost impossible to JB it... the only thing someone can do is find a way to import files to the PS4 without having to pay for them "Games" (Which has been done in the past. Now patched!).

 

I believe you can do what they like to call "Failbreak" by taking your PS4 to a CFW firmware 3.15? by installing it through a USB but as far as that works it's not really a Successful Jailbreak allowing you to customise and in essence do anything you want with your PS4.

 

I believe no matter what anyone tries with the PS4, they won't be able to make a complete or better replica of the PS3 Jailbreak.

 

That's my opinions on this anyway...

It's potentially possible to jailbreak your PS3... You need to have a certain console model though for it to be jailbroken.
