Yes. I've been using this and haven't had any issues. If you use this in Cecil's challenge, you will get banned.

The mod didn't get you banned. You got banned because you were using this in Cecil's Nightmare, which is a ranked event. If you rank too high with your team, they can easily see that. Cecil's Nightmare is similar to PVP.
