Does this still work or does it need to be updated?

Not sure why that's different for you but apparently the hack was recreated with the update 1.2 and not the additional bug fix hot patch they did. The game version is still 1.2, but it is still a different version than the original 1.2. That is why the hack isn't working for anyone. Can you please try deleting the game, reinstall a fresh copy and you'll see that it downloads extra files.

When you run the game, does it ask you to update, evn though there is no update available in the AppStore?

Ok I think I figured out what is going on. Right after the previous update to 1.2, apparently thetr was a bug that was licking people out so they released a quick patch internally in the game (not updated thought the AppStore). When I install the new hack, it seems to force the game into the 1.2 version before the bug fix patch and tells you to update the game, but there is no update in the AppStore. Uninstalling the hack and trying to run a freshly installed version of the game brings up the internal update and allows you to play the game. Installing the hack now brings it back to the update screen.
