  9. If you’re on the lookout for a not-to-be-missed freebie for your iPhone and iPad, look no further than IGN’s latest Free Game of the Month, Radiation Island by Atypical Games. This open-world survival adventure game puts you in the shoes of a WWII military scientist who seem to be experiencing some sort of radiation poisoning and must survive on an island inhabited by weird creatures. Radiation Island sells for $2.99 in the App Store and has never gone free since its App Store debut this summer. It currently has a rating of 4.5 out of 5 stars based on nearly 4,000 App Store reviews. The game sports first and third-person perspective modes and is basically like Lost mixed with Minecraft and The Walking Dead. “As part of the Philadelphia Experiment you have become stranded in a parallel, alternate reality,” reads the blurb. “Discover this new and mysterious world, with all its surprises. Use everything you find to survive it and solve its puzzle to get back to the real world.” In Radiation Island, your main challenge is to survive on an island. How to claim your free copy of Radiation Island [Hidden Content] Tapping the code will redeem your free copy of Radiation Island.

  11. When it comes to customizing the App Switcher, the first tweak that comes to everyone’s mind is Auxo, which is by far one of the best jailbreak tweaks for the app switcher. Seng is a new App Switcher replacement that seems to be inspired by Auxo. Seng takes most of its design queues and functionality from Auxo 3. The only difference is that it supports iOS 8.4 as well unlike Auxo 3 which is still waiting to be compatible with the latest iOS version. The tweak merges the App Switcher and Control Center into one allowing you to view both of them at the same time. This means that when you swipe up from the bottom of the screen or double press the Home button, the App Switcher will be launched. The new interface is divided into three sections. By default, the top section displays the AirDrop button, the middle section displays all the app preview cards and the bottom section displays the Quick Launch apps and toggles. The tweak also allows you to swipe up the Home screen in order to close all the running apps as well as slide up from the bottom left or the bottom right corner of an app to minimize it. Once installed, Seng comes with a new preferences pane available in Settings where you can choose what should be displayed in the top and the bottom sections. You’ll also find a few other additional options to toggle on or off closing all apps by swiping up the Home screen, choose the apps that you’d like to whitelist and more. Seng is currently in the final beta stage and is available via [hide]private repo: http://chewitt.me/repo[/hide] Worked perfectly without any issues on my device and the good thing is that it supports iOS 8.4 as well

  13. Apple is “on pace to beat” last year’s ten million unit first-weekend record as the new iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus are about to go on sale on September 25. Chances are that you have by now read all there is about the new iPhones and their major hardware improvements and new features. Today, we’re asking you to take another and tell us what specific feature of the new iPhones you happen to be looking forward the most. The poll provides a bunch of choices from headline hardware improvements such as the new A9 processor, 3D Touch screen technology and higher-resolution cameras to evolutionary improvements like two times faster Touch ID to hardware-backed software features like Live Photos to cosmetic changes such as the stronger Series 7000 aluminum body and a new rose gold color option.
  14. BootLogoCustomizer is a tweak that lets users customize the colors of the respring Apple boot logo. Customization is achieved by means of a simple preference panel found in the stock Settings app.Although BootLogoCustomizer doesn’t allow you to change the boot logo that appears when you first reboot your iPhone, it will let you change the one that appears on respring, and it will eventually show up on reboot after the unmodified logo is displayed for a few seconds. After installation of the tweak, venture into the stock Settings and find BootLogoCustomizer’s preferences. Inside, you’ll see a kill-switch, two sections for customizing the boot logo color and boot logo background color, and an Apply Changes button, which serves as a respring shortcut. Customizing the logo and background colors is made easy thanks to the color picker included with the tweak. And if you don’t feel like messing with the color picker, you can tap the # sign in the upper right-hand corner in order to enter in a hex color value directly.Once you’ve settled on your color choices, tap the Apply Changes button to initiate a respring and see your custom colors. From here on out, each time you respring will be met with your custom colorway for the boot logo and its background. As I previously alluded to, this tweak doesn’t actually allow you to change the real boot logo, since that loads outside of Cydia Substrate’s jurisdiction. It does, however, allow you to change the boot logo on respring, and will present itself briefly on an actual reboot once Substrate is loaded into memory.

  16. DylibSearch is a new Jailbreak app that helps you quickly check to see if you have any known malicious tweaks, like KeyRaider, installed on your device. It does so by scanning the contents of the .dylib files contained in the filesystem’s MobileSubstrate directory. By checking for known strings contained in malicious files, DylibSearch can quickly tell you if your iPhone is infected, or if it has a clean bill of health. This open source tweak is available by means of a special third-party repo, which you’ll find inside of this post. To install DylibSearch, add the following repo to your Cydia sources: [hide] http://wolfposd.github.io/[/hide] After adding the repo, perform a search for DylibSearch, or simply open the repo folder to locate the package directly. After installing DylibSearch, you’ll find a new app icon on your Home screen. Launch the DylibSearch app, and you’ll see a screen that lists all of the .dylib files found in /Library/MobileSubstrate/DynamicLibraries. Files that have a clean bill of health will have a green check mark next to the name, while infected files will stick out like a sore thumb with a red ‘x’ icon. DylibSearch will help you identify bad files, but it won’t actually remove them. To do so, you’ll need to use an app like iFile to navigate to the DynamicLibraries folder, and purge the files manually. The recent KeyRaider attack is one of those that DylibSearch can identify. As you can see from the open source project on GitHub, DylibSearch looks for the following strings in your DynamicLibraries directory: *wushidou *gotoip4 *bamu *getHanzi These are strings that are known to be contained in the malicious Cydia Substrate tweaks. Obviously, there are other ways of being able to identify bad jailbreak tweaks, such as using a recursive grep search at the command line, but it really doesn’t get any easier than this tweak. Although the chance that you’ve been infected is slim none if you live outside of China and you’ve never download shady jailbreak tweaks, this is a good tool for quickly identifying a potential infection, and it’ll probably grow as it’s fleshed out with additional search strings.
