I'd say it depends on what you're trying to get specifically. If you're not trying to get anything specific, Times Square and Central Park are good in the amounts of Pokemon and the variety in types

Usually when I see a Pokémon, I'll turn off Patrol or Tap to Walk, whichever I may have on, then capture the Pokémon.
