I played sports and they don't have any effect on my grades since I study and do homework during on road or going to tutor if I need to. And had PE coach who taught same class or others to help me out. If you really try hard, then you can success this situation. University/College are worse than High School.

If you have some difficulty with classes or so. If you have some of the players in team or friends in class that you know, they may help you out. My friends helped out with some hard class when I was in sports After all, it's your choice.
