2 There are many reason why Muslim observe fasting. It is third pillar of Islam which means it is compulsory for all adult Muslim. Fasting became compulsory on the 2 year of Hijra. there are two benefits of fasting spiritual and physical.
Spiritual benefits are it give satisfaction to oneself by completing the order of God. it also make Muslim be more fear of God and strengthen the bond of Muslim and God and makes Muslim believe stronger on oneness of God. Muslim asks for God blessing and forgiveness in the month of Ramadan. God rewards for in this month. In this month Muslim stops themselves from wrong in order to get God blessing.
physical benefits are it give rest to stomach and made oneself healthy. In this month most of the people are generous and give Zakat in this month. This also make rich Muslim brothers realize the lifestyle of poor people and the bond of brotherhood strengthens. In this month there is special prayer ‘Trawi’ in which Imam recites the whole Quran at least once in the whole month. Trawi prayer and the fasting is the example of equality and punctuation.
There is a big reward for fasting and there is 1 night in last 10 days of Ramadan called Liala Tul Qadar which reward is greater than 1000 night of praying It could be 21,23,25,27 or 29th night. It is compulsory on Muslim four type of Muslims are exempted child, pregnant woman, old people, traveler.
