Go to Settings > Sounds > Turn on > Change with Buttons and that should allow you to turn your sounds all the way down.

when Modding look for "Buy Cost" or something close to that,when you find it then you can change the cost to "0" which means when you buy something the gold will not subtract, and when you gain gold it will increase. But just keep in mind that not every game is going to allow you to do that.
