It's not supposed to let you play games longer, it's supposed to make your iPhone last longer so you can use it in crucial moments.

It's probably like Android's battery saver option. Just disables background processes and background app refreshing to give you a few more minutes of battery.

Are App Store apps working with iOS 9?

Yes everything works so that I haven't found a bug yet. I just saw ReplayKit has to be implemented by the game devs and it's not a user display recorder .

After a while the font changed on my iPhone too! It's a more bold version of Helvetica. I don't know if it was a bug that it didn't display the font from the begining. I first saw it after the update was complete but then it changed back to iOS 8 font for some time. However now it's fixed

Yes especially for those 3D games. They really suck your battery down fast. Killing background processes and daemons give you more battery in general I think
