Depending on the reason they banned you, there's a chance that you might get unbanned after a couple of weeks.

That all depends on what you did to get banned though.

Source: When I used to play, got banned three times on the same account and it's currently not banned after a year of mod usage.

 

However, if you're an avid player for this game, it would probably benefit you more to just start over so you don't have to wait.
