2 week ago, my cat of nearly fourteen years passed away and I was beside myself (I'm a cat person). I went to work the next weekend still feeling very raw about the whole thing when my co-worker asked how my week had been. While trying hard not to actually cry, I managed to choke out that I was having a pretty tough few days because my cat had died. She was suddenly visibly shocked and after a few moments of stunned silence said, "oh my god, I'm so sorry. I don't know what I'd do if my dad died." 

The chance to correct her passed and I realised how awkward/embarrassing it would be to do so at a later date so I just carried on letting her think my dad was dead and VIP will help me a lot going  though these tough days without my cat☹️
