Do developers actually check for hack users and ban them?

As stated in the title. 

I read it in a different post that people get banned from having lvl 4 wall bases. I don't know if that person got reported or developers actively check these things. My base is literally all metal on the whole map with turrets and safes. And because I'm scared people will report me during raids, I literally put a storage outside the base with a full fox and swat gear plus 2 military backpacks and 5 guns.

You do not need to worry. more than one person can get the same nickname, so you need to know your in-game id so they can report you. you can not eat a ban unless you produce an item that you should not produce.
