Out of curiosity, why an icon?

I find the gesture is much easier to use and means you can screenshot without having to delete the hack, go back in, screenshot, log out, reinstall and then go back in.

Better protection (for the hack), new feature(s), will let you know when the hack's outdated etc

Once the hack's outdated, there will be a pop-up that'll tell you if the hack's outdated pretty cool. You'll see when the game next needs updating.

how do you even get past the authentication? Mine keeps giving me a network error telling me to go to a place with better internet

You need to just force close the game and reopen it. If it happens again, keep trying and eventually it goes past it.

I got that error a few times but it's not a ban or a jailbreak detection. It just happens now and then. The game is still fairly buggy.
