Tutorial How to Unblock Saurik's Repo on Electra

As you may all know, Electra had to block Saurik's repo because of a package update that was breaking the Electra Jailbreak. Since Electra 1.0.2, Saurik's repo will no longer load its packages. In this quick tutorial, I will show you how you can unblock it and access Saurik's repo again on Cydia.

PLEASE NOTE: Unblocking Saurik's Cydia Repo will show you that there's an update to APT 0.7 Strict (lib) package on Cydia. You do not update this package if you're running Electra. Instead, you should temporarily turn off upgrades for it.

 

There are 2 ways to unblock Saurik's repo, one involving Filza, other via SSH.

Filza Method:
1. Download Filza from the official repo. It has Electra Jailbreak support.
2. Open Filza and navigate to /etc/ folder.
3. Next, open the hosts file via Filza's text editor.
4. From there, you will notice:

0.0.0.0 apt.saurik.com

Now you just simply need to add a hashtag at the beginning. Like this:

#0.0.0.0 apt.saurik.com

5. Save the file and you're done! Saurik's repo will now load in Cydia.

 

SSH/Terminal Method:
1. Run this command:

sed -i 's/.*apt.saurik.com/#&/' /etc/hosts

Annoying Cydia errors? And not everything is broken there in Electra.

I mean, if you're going to ask that then you probably shouldn't unblock his repo.
