Are you sure you have an internet connection? Lol. You have the latest version of iTunes? Update to the latest version.

Then an internet connection issue or a firewall/PC security system blocking it. Try the one I told to grab those photos. Restore is coming.

    He doesn't care about Jailbreak stuff much. Mostly uses it for gaming and pictures. :)

    He doesn't care about Jailbreak stuff much. Mostly uses it for gaming and pictures. :)

    Update will be fine. All things will be intact. Other way is to check if his PC detects the device as Camera or storage. If that's the case, he can copy all photos/videos. Also, try to use iPhone Explorer, iFunbox, DiskAid or any similar to grab his photos/videos before restoring in case update will not work.

    I can't even update. :3 iTunes cannot connect to the internet apparently.
