Removing repo, what' happen its packages

Hey bros,

I jailbreak my iPhone since my first iPhone (3gs) but I never try this and I don't find a real answer…

So I prefer asking U  

My doubt: The main repo I used stopped activity . Of course each time launch cydia take a "long time" (and report error about this repo). So remove this repo seems useful. But if I do it, what's happen for installed packages? Do they stay or do they remove too?

Your installed packages remain untouched. You can continue using them.

so if i uninstall the coolstar repo , stashing will still work ? and does removing repos increase system storage ??

Yes and probably by a few KBs since I believe the repo data is stored on your device.

The Release, Packages, etc.

All it does is not allow you to receive updates for any of its packages as it will no longer contact the repo/website.

Think of a repo as being basically a server/website that links you to a bunch of download links.
